Primary Connections Units
At Hornsby Heights we use Primary Connections Units developed by the Australian Academy of Science.
Science Lessons
- Provide innovative teaching and learning activities which enhance student knowledge, understanding and skills.
- Allow opportunities for students to suggest and plan scientific investigations including fair tests.
- Encourage reflection, learning and evaluation of results.
We support awareness of our changing planet and caring for future communities.
Eco- Garden
By establishing Eco gardens for each grade students have first -hand knowledge of:
- Recycling and composting.
- Water conservation and efficiency.
- Use of native and planet friendly plants.
- Harvesting and enjoying fresh produce.
- Caring for chickens and their needs.
