HHPS Canteen Information

Hornsby Heights Public School Canteen MENU.

Hornsby Heights Public School P&C Canteen is run by a paid Canteen Manager, and an army of volunteers to provide predominantly healthy food (in compliance with the Fresh Tastes @ School NSW Health canteen strategy) to school children and the staff. The Canteen funds itself, and profits are fed back into the P&C Association and used by the school to provide for purchases for the school to benefit children in their learning experience.

Canteen is open for business Monday, Wednesday and Friday for lunch orders, and recess and lunch counter sales, and we also hold event days periodically. Nuts and nut products are not sold or produced in the school canteen and caregivers are asked to avoid sending any nut products to school. Our canteen offers dairy- and gluten-free options as advertised in the menu. If your child has allergies, especially anaphylaxis, please contact the Canteen Manager (via the school 9476 5133) for ingredients of products.

PLACING LUNCH ORDERS

Ordering is easy with Qkr!:

1. Download the Qkr! By Mastercard app on your smartphone or go to www.qkr.mastercard.com/store if you haven't got a smartphone. Set up your child/ren's profile/s, search for Hornsby Heights Public School and order away on the easy online menu and electronic payment platform. Order by 9.10am (on day of delivery) sharp!

If you don't get a Qkr! order done in time, call the canteen manager via the school and it can be sorted out without disruption to your child.

Some items (smoothies and ice treats) are to be collected by children from the canteen with their token (kindy only) or lunch bag as proof of purchase.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!
Volunteers are vital to the successful running of the canteen, and we would love to have you on the team!
Helping out in canteen is a great way to meet new people and see your child in action at school. As a volunteer you are entitled to a free lunch each shift and participation in our Term Raffles and social events!

There are 10am-2pm shifts M-W-F. There are also special food days held on Thursdays throughout the term, and these times vary but are not more than 4 hours.

If you are interested and can volunteer one day a term (or more!!), please contact Canteen Convenor Jessica Maloney at email hhpspandccanteen@gmail.com.
