Information Reports on Stick Insects.
Year 2 have been learning about Informative Texts.
Some Year 5 students have been consolidating their understanding of Information Reports, as a literacy interest task. By collaborating, the Year 5 and Year 2 students learnt together about three different types of Australian Stick Insects, which happen to be class 5/6 T class pets. Year 5 presented their work to class 2J and then had a Meet the Insect session. Learning, laughter and fun was had by all, and even Mrs Commisso was brave enough to hold a baby Goliath stick insect.
